The most iconic native tree of Argentina. Within the native trees, it is fast-growing and one of the largest. This implies that it absorbs more CO2 and generates more oxygen, purifies more water, etc. At the same time, it is a pioneer tree, that means that it generates the conditions for other species to grow around it. It is the best ally to combat the environmental problems we suffer.
How much CO2 does an Algarrobo tree capture?According to the report carried out by specialized technicians, an Algarrobo tree captures 0.1 tons of CO2 per year, which means, 1 ton in 10 years.
What is so special about the trees you grow? The way we grow them makes them special. Most of our investment and work is put into growing high quality forest seedlings. Certified seeds, root care, tree proportion, humidity, light, etc. These characteristics increase the chance of survival of our trees up to 90% compared to the 50% chance of survival of common seedlings.
What happens to the trees once I plant them online?Once we have a considerable amount of trees planted online, the BAUM team, NGO partners and volunteers plant them in a nature reserve or public green space in Argentina.
When are the trees planted?Trees are planted in the same year they were planted online. The reforestation months, which are ideal for planting trees, are between mid-September and mid-May (spring-summer).
Where are the trees planted? The trees are planted in nature reserves and public green spaces in the Province of Córdoba, Argentina.
After being planted, are the trees taken care of?BAUM and its allied institutions are committed to follow up on the trees planted, and share it on social networks so that everyone can see it. The quality of the trees we produce, together with the selection of the place and time of planting, plus the correct planting of the trees, give us a high probability of survival of our trees in nature. In future reforestations we replace the trees that for some reason did not survive.
What is the use of the online planting certificate? The certificate is the proof that you are part of the reforestation of Argentina. It also has a unique tree number, so that you can track your tree through our social media. And most importantly, the certificate tells you how much carbon your tree absorbs, so if you calculate how much CO2 you emit in your daily life, you can neutralize your carbon footprint and live a life in balance with nature!
to be planted in natural reserves and public green spaces in Argentina in 2023.

In Córdoba, less than 5% of our native forests remain. Every year around 30,000 hectares burn in forest fires, and in 2020 alone, 300,000 hectares suffered the same fate. At a national level, the situation is even more dramatic.
Grow an initial 40,000 native trees, you plant them online, we reforest Cordoba. Grow twice as many, you plant them online, we reforest Cordoba. Grow 4 times more, you plant them online, we reforest Argentina, and so on until we cover Argentina with native forests together with individuals, companies and institutions.
Plant your tree online
You will receive an e-mail certificate that proves you planted a tree online with your name, number of trees planted, calculation of CO2 absorbed, and unique tree number. It is designed to be shared on your social networks.
You appear in our ranking of online tree planters. In the ranking at our website you can see yourself together with the amount of trees you planted, and the other people and companies that did the same. You can also see the message you left for the community.
In the same year that you planted online, your tree together with the rest of the community's trees will be planted by the BAUM team, NGO partners and volunteers in natural reserves and public green spaces in Cordoba.
Through our website and social media you will be able to keep track of the tree you planted. Once planted, we share geo-location, pictures and videos of the reforestation day so you can see your tree in the ground (the unique tree number on your certificate will tell you which reforestation day it was planted in)
Environmental impact: Planted native trees mitigate the effects of the problem. They absorb CO2, generate oxygen, purify water, prevent floods and droughts, and promote biodiversity, among others.
